In February 2000, I took the oath and began my journey in the United States Navy, never imagining how much those next 24 years would shape my life. My first deployment came in the aftermath of the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001. Serving during Operation Enduring Freedom was a defining moment that taught me the true meaning of duty, sacrifice, and resilience.

In 2004, I volunteered for the Funeral Honors Team. It was my way of honoring those we had lost and paying tribute to the men and women who had walked the path before me. Standing before grieving families, carefully folding the American flag, and presenting it with dignity was one of the greatest privileges of my career. Although I earned many awards throughout my service, none meant more than the Gold Star presented to me by the parent of a young sailor whose flag I had folded during his celebration of life. That recognition will forever hold a special place in my heart.

The Navy gave me lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. I lost seven dear friends along the way, and their memory continues to inspire me every day. Yet, even in the most challenging times, we found moments of joy—singing together around Tent City, laughing through long days, and creating a family away from home. I loved cooking for my unit whenever I had the chance, earning the nickname “Mom of the Unit,” a title I wore with pride because taking care of my shipmates came naturally.

One of the highlights of my career was participating in Fleet Week in New York. It was there that I met Donald Trump, who shared real estate guidance that encouraged me to think beyond my military career. That conversation helped shape my financial future and inspired me to invest wisely while I was still serving.

Today, after proudly retiring from the United States Navy following 24 years of honorable service, I enjoy the freedom that military discipline and careful planning made possible. The passive income I built through real estate investments allows me to live comfortably while continuing to serve others in new ways. Looking back, I am grateful for every challenge, every friendship, every lesson, and every opportunity. The Navy didn’t just give me a career—it gave me a purpose, a family, and a foundation for a lifetime.
